International Business Analytics (IBA) Challenge

Data is everywhere. Turning insight into action is a top priority for all organizations. Everyone wants to give a helping hand. Our challenge aims at bridging the gap between academics and professionals, strategy and data science, and organizations and promising talents. We want to pair data science, technologies and creativity to build innovative solutions for a worldwide non-for-profit organization. The International Business Analytics (IBA) Challenge is a novel initiative aimed for students interested in using data mining techniques to create value for a non-for-profit organization inspired by their data.
During the challenge, students will be asked to think further than the insights gathered from the data. They will be invited to overtake the data science dimension by implying other aspects like data visualization, data vulgarization as well as drawing creative and strategic business insights. All of these aspects must be met within a defined budget.
Hosted for the first time in Montreal, this competition will allow every participant to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practices. It is a unique way for students to show their skills on building creative solutions based on real life data to generate value for an organization.
