Living Lab Lanaudière and IVADO partner to promote innovation and data valorization

Joliette, Montréal, November 4, 2020 – Living Lab Lanaudière (LLL) and IVADO are proud to announce their new partnership to strengthen the innovation and data valorization sectors and mutually benefit from their respective networks to provide businesses with more targeted support.

“For Living Lab, IVADO constitutes a hub of data valorization expertise. In addition to offering specialized training in digital intelligence, the Institute provides scholarships and grants, collaborative resources and access to a vast community of researchers, start-ups and innovative firms,” affirmed Noémie Blanchette-Forget, coordinator of Living Lab.

Through the partnership, which hinges on services exchange and collaboration, Living Lab Lanaudière positions itself as a resource in open innovation test area searches for the businesses and researchers affiliated with IVADO. The pursuit of firms and organizations that seek to valorize the data they generate will be facilitated by the links Living Lab Lanaudière maintains with its community.

The companies that LLL supports will be given access to the expertise, network and training programs developed by IVADO. Through LLL, Microlabs has already found the talent required to carry out its data valorization projects.

“We are very pleased that Living Lab Lanaudière has joined our network. This partnership is perfectly in line with our mission to contribute to knowledge mobilization by fostering networking between our academic and industrial community and organizations in the Lanaudière region. With the LLL and Zone Agtech, another IVADO network partner, the Lanaudière region is positioning itself as a forward-looking innovation hub,” said Nancy Laramée, IVADO’s Director of Partnerships.

Living Lab Lanaudière and IVADO share a common interest in promoting Québec innovation and are working together to enhance corporate performance through the efficient use of quality data.

IVADO emerged from an initiative led by Université de Montréal, HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal in 2016. With the support of its ecosystem, which links the academic, industrial and institutional sectors, IVADO develops leading-edge expertise in a range of digital intelligence fields, including data science, artificial intelligence and operations research, and helps transform new scientific breakthroughs into practical applications, economic opportunities and benefits for society.
