IVADO, Obvia and SEMLA launch the 1st edition of ADOR-IA

As part of the R3AI project, IVADO, Obvia and SEMLA are joining forces with their respective networks to co-organize the 1st edition of ADOR-IA, the very first Workshop for the Responsible Development and Operationalization of AI, to be held on August 22, 2024 online and on August 29 and September 5 in person in Montreal.

This three-day ideathon offers a unique opportunity for students to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to solve concrete challenges submitted by IVADO member organizations.

The workshop is open to the graduate student community in the fields of AI, MLOps, social sciences (law and ethics), environment and sustainability. It includes half-day hands-on training and access to mentoring from leading AI experts.

Six challenges are on the agenda, covering topics as varied as algorithmic bias, transparency and explicability, privacy and data protection, legal and ethical responsibility, equity and social justice, security and reliability, and increased energy consumption.
