IVADO will hold a Public Forum on R³AI Strategic Research Regroupements

Supported by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund and led by the Université de Montréal in partnership with McGill University, Université Laval, HEC Montréal, and Polytechnique Montréal, IVADO’s Research Regroupements aim to develop and implement an intersectoral scientific program with a transformative impact. They will be presented at a public Forum on October 3 at the MIL Campus.

At the heart of IVADO’s R³AI initiative, dedicated to developing a robust, reasoning, and responsible artificial intelligence, the Strategic Research Regroupements represent its cornerstone.

Focusing on a diverse range of themes such as neuroscience, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), the implementation and responsible governance of AI, ethics, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and Indigenous engagement, molecules, the environment, healthcare systems, supply chains, as well as AI safety and alignment, these Research Regroupements represent the forefront of AI research in Canada. Under IVADO’s leadership, they will forge original and interdisciplinary research alliances capable of addressing the complex challenges of the R³AI program.

This Forum offers a unique opportunity for IVADO’s research community to discover the scientific programming of IVADO’s 10 R³AI Research Regroupements.

The event aims to:

  • Foster exchanges between researchers and create networking opportunities around the program’s research themes.
  • Launch calls for participation and actively engage the community to enhance the research program.

The agenda includes: presentation of the Regroupements, insightful discussions, and a networking cocktail to wrap up the afternoon.
