IVADO Research Regroupement 5, Focused on the Intersection of AI, Ethics, EDI, and Indigenous Engagement, Launches its Second Call for Participation

IVADO Research Regroupement 5 invites the scientific community to submit proposals for projects exploring AI through the lenses of ethics, EDI, and Indigenous engagement. Funding of up to $40,000 per project is available  for a one-year, non-renewable term.

This call aligns with the mission of Research Regroupement 5, which aims to explore and anticipate the ethical and societal challenges of AI, guided by principles of co-construction, interdisciplinarity, and scientific monitoring. Submitted projects should align with one of the following research themes:

  1. Observing, anticipating, imagining, and shaping ethical and responsible AI
  2. Engagement, empowerment, self-determination, and power issues related to AI
  3. Ethical foundations, development, and responsible implementation of AI
  4. First Peoples and Marginalized Groups Engagement Function

Teams are encouraged to propose innovative, critical, or interdisciplinary approaches related to these themes.

Key dates

  • Submission deadline: October 17, 2025
  • Notification of results: December 2025
  • Project start: January 2026
