IVADO Research Regroupement 5, Focused on the Intersection of AI, Ethics, EDI, and Indigenous Engagement, Launches its Second Call for Participation
IVADO Research Regroupement 5 invites the scientific community to submit proposals for projects exploring AI through the lenses of ethics, EDI, and Indigenous engagement. Funding of up to $40,000 per project is available for a one-year, non-renewable term.
This call aligns with the mission of Research Regroupement 5, which aims to explore and anticipate the ethical and societal challenges of AI, guided by principles of co-construction, interdisciplinarity, and scientific monitoring. Submitted projects should align with one of the following research themes:
- Observing, anticipating, imagining, and shaping ethical and responsible AI
- Engagement, empowerment, self-determination, and power issues related to AI
- Ethical foundations, development, and responsible implementation of AI
- First Peoples and Marginalized Groups Engagement Function
Teams are encouraged to propose innovative, critical, or interdisciplinary approaches related to these themes.
Key dates
- Submission deadline: October 17, 2025
- Notification of results: December 2025
- Project start: January 2026
