Foutse Khomh appointed Director of Research and Innovation at Polytechnique Montréal

Montreal, December 19th, 2025 – IVADO is pleased to announce the appointment of Foutse Khomh, IVADO’s Scientific Co-Director, as Director of Research and Innovation at Polytechnique Montréal. This appointment recognizes an exceptional scientific career and demonstrated leadership within the research and innovation ecosystem.

A professor at Polytechnique Montréal and a leading researcher in software engineering, Foutse Khomh holds a Canada CIFAR AI Chair on Trustworthy Machine Learning Software Systems and an FRQ-IVADO Research Chair on Software Quality Assurance for Machine Learning Applications. His research, which focuses on machine learning systems engineering and AI system reliability, has earned him numerous distinctions.

At IVADO, Foutse Khomh has played a key role since 2023 as Scientific Co-Director – Scientific and International Activities, actively contributing to the development of scientific activities associated with R3AI, including IVADO’s thematic semesters, as well as the organization’s international strategy.
