We invite researchers who meet the following criteria to apply to join our community:
- Conducting cutting-edge research on topics related to our R3AI program;
- Having a Canadian university affiliation allowing you to supervise graduate students and conduct research projects independently;
- Being actively involved in the IVADO community.
The title of IVADO researcher is valid for a period of 5 years, after which it can be renewed. This designation also includes the category “early-career IVADO researcher”, i.e. those who have started their first academic position within the last 5 years. IVADO researchers are appointed by the Executive Committee on the recommendation of the IVADO Scientific Committee.
The benefits
Being an IVADO researcher means joining a network of the most important players in Canada’s AI community. In addition to interacting with hundreds of fellow researchers from across the country, IVADO researchers have the opportunity to make contact with numerous government and industry partners. The various scientific activities to which they are invited – dissemination, consultation – are all opportunities to shine on a national and international level.

- your interest in becoming an IVADO researcher;
- the link between your research and the R³AI program;
- how you would like to get involved in the IVADO community.
