AI Perspective Student Program

Are you a student interested in artificial intelligence (AI), whatever your field of study? Discover AI Perspective, a brand-new program of short, hybrid, non-credited and free training courses designed by and for the Quebec student community in French or in English.

Developed in partnership with Université de Montréal, McGill, Université Laval, Polytechnique Montréal, and HEC Montréal.

Objectives

An annual program of training workshops to understand and explore AI through different themes. It aims to:

• bring you up to date on the latest advances in AI technologies,
• offer a learning approach that complements credited programs,
• encourage interdisciplinary crossovers, such as: AI & chemistry, AI & economics, etc.
• equip up-and-coming talent to use AI in all fields.

Who can benefit?

• To train: students from the universities Université de Montréal, McGill, Université Laval, Polytechnique Montréal and HEC Montréal, whatever their cycle or field of study.

Online or hybrid workshops, accessible to all, free of charge.

When?

The following courses are offered in spring:

• November 7, 2025 – “AI, Creativity, and Innovation: A technical and legal perspective” (McGill)
• November 14, 2025 – “When do AI Systems Breach our Right to Privacy?” (McGill)
• 2026 date TBD – “Ethical and Explainable AI in Healthcare” (McGill)
• 2026 date TBD  – “Construire et entraîner un réseau de neurones de base : de la théorie à la pratique” (Polytechnique)
• 2026 date TBD  – L’IA en support à la simulation : améliorer les modèles et processus de test (Polytechnique)
• 2026 date TBD  – Les bonnes pratiques pour une utilisation réfléchie et éthique des outils de l’IA générative (Polytechnique)
• 2026 date TBD  – Partage et sécurité des données : bonnes pratiques pour la collaboration et la protection de la vie privée (Polytechnique)
