True North Marine and IVADO join forces to develop data driven solutions for the shipping industry

Montreal, January 13, 2019 – True North Marine, a Montreal-based consultancy company specializing in weather routing and vessel performance monitoring of ocean going vessels is pleased to announce that it has become a member of the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO) which aims to bring together industry professionals and academic researchers to develop cutting edge expertise in data science.

True North Marine and IVADO will embark on a multi-year project with the aim of improving models and methods for voyage planning. These advances will allow shipping companies to benefit from significant cost savings while also reducing their fleet’s carbon footprint.
