Dany Plourde
Tech transfer and innovation advisor
Dany’s main objective is to develop innovation projects between organizations, researchers and graduate students in artificial intelligence and data science. Dany is responsible for fostering the adoption of AI in several sectors of the economy, including digital education, bio-food, culture, finance, media and the environment, all with a sustainable development approach. Networking between stakeholders of interest, facilitating technology transfer activities, including the Community of Practice on the industrialization of AI, and setting up structuring initiatives for a sector of activity are part of his mandates.
An agronomist by training, with graduate studies in animal sciences and genomics, Dany has a multidisciplinary background and is versatile in several sectors of activity. Before joining IVADO, he was involved in reducing the ecological impact of animal production, promoting animal welfare and reducing the waste of natural resources through genomics, all the while working in the cultural ecosystem.
