A geographer (MSc) and civil engineer (PhD) by training, Jean-François Bruneau has close to a quarter century of experience in transportation research. He has led government and municipal mandates in road safety, active mobility, smart mobility, public transit, school transportation, and freight in academia, as a professor of geomatics, as well as the private sector. His work focuses on autonomous and connected vehicles, interactions between vehicles and vulnerable users, and modal shift.
