Jean Provost is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Physics at Polytechnique Montréal. His research interests include the development of ultrafast ultrasound imaging, image formation and inverse problems applied to biomedical imaging. He is an associate member of the Montreal Heart Institute and a member of the Institut de Génie Biomédical.

He was previously a CNRS researcher and a Marie Curie International Incoming Fellow at Institut Langevin, which is part of the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielles in Paris. He holds a PhD from Columbia University in New York, a master’s degree from Polytechnique Montréal, and engineering degrees from both Ecole Centrale Paris and Polytechnique Montreal.
