Nancy Laramée

Director of Partnerships

Since 2018, Nancy Laramée has been leading partnerships at IVADO, where she oversees a multidisciplinary team of 14 people working to bridge academic research, industry, and public sector organizations through applied artificial intelligence projects.

She plays a key role in the development of cross-sector initiatives that bring together data science, AI, and academic expertise to address real-world challenges in areas such as health, energy, mobility, finance, and the environment.

With an approach grounded in creativity, collaboration, and interdisciplinarity, she has contributed to the success of a team that has established over 800 university–organization collaborations in support of applied research and innovation. Under her leadership, IVADO’s portfolio of collaborative projects has grown from $10 million to over $117 million.

She also played a key role in co-developing the IVADO IAR³ proposal, which led to the awarding of a major federal grant of $124.5 million under the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (Apogée program).

An industrial engineer by training, Nancy holds a master’s degree in engineering management and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. She previously spent nearly 20 years in the private sector, where she led teams in performance and profitability, innovation, advanced analytics, and continuous improvement.

She is particularly driven by initiatives with human, social, economic, and environmental impact, and firmly believes that science and cross-sector collaboration can create meaningful progress for organizations and communities alike.
