Workshop: Harnessing AI for the Accelerated Discovery of New Materials and Molecules

IVADO is thrilled to welcome a delegation from the Acceleration Consortium for a first workshop entitled Harnessing AI for the Accelerated Discovery of New Materials and Molecules, which will take place on April 16 and 17, 2024 at Campus MIL, in Montreal.. This event highlights the strategic collaboration between IVADO and the Acceleration Consortium, two grant recipients from the Canada First Research Excellence Fund, and their  partnership with Institut Courtois, Mila and IRIC, who are key players of the research ecosystem in these fields.

IVADO is invested in developing a robust, reasoning and responsible AI, while Acceleration Consortium uses AI and robotics as part of their self-driving labs, to speed up the discovery of new materials and molecules. The complementary nature of the two initiatives is undeniable, and this emerging collaboration will stimulate research in these strategic sectors on a national level. This event will bring together researchers, research professionals and students to delve into common research interests and forge long-term collaborations.

The workshop will take place over two days:

• April 16: presentation of the various organizations and their research projects. It will be open to students and research professionals.
• April 17: thematic discussions between invited researchers to identify avenues for collaboration.
