Canada Excellence Research Chair in Data Science for Real-Time Decision-Making

The Canada Excellence Research Chair in Data Science for Real-Time Decision-Making is Canada’s leading chair in operations research. It aims to create new models and algorithms to quickly and efficiently manage large amounts of data from multiple sources in order to generate transferrable knowledge and automate decision making.

Inter-university research centre on enterprise networks, logistics and transportation

The CIRRELT is an interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to resolving decision-related issues linked to the design, management, operations and safety of logistics networks, services and infrastructures. It brings together researchers specialized in operations research, computer sciences, engineering, statistics and econometrics on projects in areas including transportation, energy, finance, health and communications.

Group for Research in Decision Analysis

The GERAD is an interuniversity research centre that brings together some ninety experts in quantitative methods for management, operations research, theoretical computer science, mathematics and mathematical engineering at HEC Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal, McGill University and UQAM. The centre’s objective is to develop mathematical decision-making concepts for major technological, commercial and economic systems and improve modeling based on statistics, simulation and data processing.

Montréal Institute for Learning Algorithms

The Montréal Institute for Learning Algorithms develops cutting-edge knowledge in deep neural networks and their application in vision, speech and language. The MILA is internationally recognized in the development of deep-learning algorithms and their application in various fields such as object recognition, automatic neural translation and speech recognition.
