Strengthening Franco-Canadian synergies in AI research and training

On May 21, 2024, French President Emmanuel Macron announced support for nine new “AI Clusters” as part of the ambitious “France 2030” plan, which aims to position France as a global leader in artificial intelligence. IVADO, which supported the proposals for four of these clusters — Pr[ai]rie, Aniti, MIAI Grenoble, and Data AI — reaffirms its commitment to collaborating with its French partners to advance AI research and training.

“We congratulate these nine newly selected French clusters under the France 2030 initiative, including Pr[ai]rie, Aniti, MIAI Grenoble, and Data AI, for which IVADO provided a letter of support. We thus reaffirm our determination to pursue and expand fruitful collaborations with our French partners to advance AI research and training, focusing on responsible and beneficial societal applications,” said Luc Vinet, CEO of IVADO.

IVADO and MIAI Grenoble have already begun their cooperation, notably in training initiatives, and plan to expand their collaboration in scientific programming and the transfer of talent and expertise in AI.
