Annual Assembly: IVADO Unites Around Research and Innovation
On January 29, HEC Montréal was buzzing with IVADO’s Annual Assembly. The event brought together a wide range of stakeholders – researchers, businesses, institutions, and strategic partners – with the aim of strengthening IVADO’s collaborative ecosystem and sharing the results of a particularly productive 2024, while outlining its ambitions for 2025.
IVADO, which brings together more than 1,400 scientists, is establishing itself more than ever as an innovation catalyst in Quebec’s technological landscape.
Concrete Commitments to Accelerate Impact
Beyond discussions, this Assembly was marked by concrete commitments aimed at shaping the future of AI innovation. Key priorities include:
- Strengthening training programs to better equip emerging talent and working professionals.
- Launching new collaborative projects between businesses and researchers, leveraging complementary expertise to address strategic challenges.
- An increased commitment to addressing ethical and societal issues related to AI, with initiatives promoting more inclusive and responsible innovation.
- An ambitious rollout of interdisciplinary scientific activities aimed at exploring major challenges in artificial intelligence (AI).
The gathering also allowed IVADO, along with its partners from the Quebec Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy, as well as Centech and HEC Montréal, to mark the official launch of the DémultiplIA program, illustrating the collective dynamic driving the institute. Companies selected for the first cohort will be announced in the coming days.
With this promising new initiative and an ambitious 2025 roadmap, IVADO is cementing its position as a key player in artificial intelligence innovation in Quebec, actively contributing to the international recognition of Quebec’s expertise.
