IVADO Fair: A Landmark 15th Edition
On February 5 and 6, 2025, the IVADO Internship and Job Fair attracted nearly 1,150 people to Polytechnique Montreal and the Swapcard platform, solidifying its status as a flagship event for the student community and recent graduates in artificial intelligence, data science, and cutting-edge technologies.
On February 5, the event welcomed nearly thirty prestigious companies, providing candidates with invaluable face-to-face interactions with industry leaders. Among the organizations present were Airudi, Beneva, CAE, Chemia Discovery, Cogeco, Coveo, Croesus, Desjardins, Ericsson, ESMIA, E-Smart, Fastercom, Flow, Geosapiens, Giro, Hadaly, Hitachi Energy, Hydro-Québec, Innovention, Intact, Lucilab, PhantasiAI, PhonIA, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Radio-Canada, Synapse C, and Videns. On February 6, the Fair continued online, offering convenient 20-minute interviews that were highly appreciated by both candidates and companies.
In addition to networking opportunities, the event featured practical workshops designed to equip participants with essential skills for the job market. Élaine Pelletier, career development advisor, led an engaging session on optimizing LinkedIn profiles, while recruitment expert Claude Martel shared expert strategies for acing interviews.
Students also had the unique opportunity to explore Scientist in Action, an IVADO program offering 10 credited internships at pioneering startups. The IVADO partnership team was on hand to provide detailed information about the program’s benefits and how it can launch careers in the AI sector.
This 15th edition not only highlighted the dynamic growth of the Quebec AI ecosystem but also underscored the IVADO Fair’s critical role in connecting emerging talent with leading companies in artificial intelligence.
